So you call them chestnuts, the same as the edible chestnuts ? In French we have two words: 'marrons' for those you show here and 'noisettes' for the much smaller edible variety. Anyway I used to resent chestnut trees in France for being the first tree to turn yellow as early as August - reminding us of fall to come. None of those in Australia now
