When I last posted a photo of the disused railway line someone asked where the path started and ended.
Since then I discovered this double-sign. The sign is half-way along an access path that leads to the old railway line which is on the left of the photograph.
It seems the path is part of the Trans Pennine Trail which stretches all the way from Southport through Liverpool to Hull and Hornsea.

I'm am a fan of trails and wandering paths, it's certainly a beautiful one, but now I am no more so in god health to walk a so long way.
