Skywatch Friday:
Dukinfield Road

A look up Dukinfield Road from the end of Throstle Bank Street during a brief spell of sunny weather last Saturday afternoon.

The road is the A627 leading to Ashton under Lyne.

The long row of houses on the left date from 1880.

All looks so clean and quiet in this shot. I immediately noticed the chimneys and the little things on the tops. They fascinate me, and I see them all over the UK. Would you please tell me what function they serve? I have always wondered. Beautiful photography.
