Shadows and reflections
at the old Rubber Works

The old Redferns Rubber Works is now an Industrial Estate with different businesses occupying the old buildings.

The large shadow belongs to a brick covered bridge that links two buildings across Dawson Street, which you can see more of on Hyde DP Xtra.

There are though several other interesting shadows to be seen here.

A closer view of the window reflections can be seen in yesterday's post.

For more shadows, visit Hey Harriet.

Just had a look at the bigger photo on your other site - what an odd bridge.

Ne'er been over to that side of Hyde before (originally from Bolton) but the building looks very interesting.

There is an honest style and air about an old factory. It was built of brick and mortar, designed for a multitude of workmen. The work is gone, but this was built so strong, it will not be wasted and is used for different purposes - which is great, The bridge and ledge offer great shadows, too. Nice!

Wow, I enlarged to the most it could go and this is a fabulous shot. There's so much going on - all sorts of shadows from the wires and pipes. This is a fantastic photo. And yes, it is a rather curious bridge. It's brick? seems it would be really heavy. I'm intrigued. love it.

I miss seeing buildings build with bricks much. Thank you. Please have you all a good Sunday.

I like that. The building reminds me of a patchwork quilt with the mish mash of different bricks. The green moss(?) is a nice addition too! Lovely capture!

That old brick really makes the shadows stand out. Very nice shot.

Cool...

And I enjoyed reading the background of the photo...so that's a pedestrian bridge...the shadow. I love it.

a very solid and pleasing building - like the texture of shadow and brick

i love everything about this - brick gives such an interesting texture after being worn & weathered for a few years. great shot!
