Danby Road
This is Danby Road. It looks busy but I suspect many of the cars may belong to commuters who have caught the train to Manchester from nearby Newton (for Hyde) Station.

I love the cars pointing different directions. Such people tend to find their own solutions to their problems.

Very interesting! It's some way also to save money, I think it's better to go to work by train than by car.

...and some of them live close enough to walk.
The reality is that these commuters care little for the residents living here. Parking on the pavement, partially blocking it is commonplace - I've struggled to pass some of these when our kids were in pushchairs & have seen a local girl in a wheelchair have difficulty also.
In winter some arrive with letterbox sized portholes scraped from the frost on their windscreens when the road is icy - through a residential area with a school.
All this is despite the station having two carparks for their use & a quieter road nearby.
Sorry for the rant Gerald, but as you may guess I'm one of the natives ;>D
