Broadbottom Station 2010

This view of Broadbottom Station with a train just waiting to depart for Manchester Piccadilly was taken from just below the bridge on Moss Lane.

You can see how it looked from the same position in 1965 on Old Hyde.

You can see Moss Lane and the bridge itself on Hyde DP Xtra.

That's an interesting view Gerald.

I've used the station but never noticed the path from where you took the photo :>)

I benefit most from seeing the change over forty-five years. The trees, the ivy. What stories they could tell if they could talk.

I've been looking at the rail timetable for the Manchester to Hyde line and see that the journey is quite quick. Some time soon I must make use of the old codgers travel pass and make a visit.

You may see pictures of Hyde on my Blog ... that will be interesting !!
