Gower Hey Gardens

New houses at the end of Osborne Road on the site of Gower Hey Bank, a large house once the home of Thomas Middleton, one time Mayor and author of the Annals of Hyde. See a view from the 1950s on Old Hyde.

It seems to be prevelant in Hyde Gerald....knocking down beautiful old buildings and then putting up shoe box housing estates! The old house looked really imposing and full of character, unlike the newer buildings of today. Love your work Gerald, appreciate you sharing it with us all.

What a contrast to your photo on Old Hyde. Sorry for this lovely old house.

This is what the human race wants. We want things cheaper, more convenient, easier to take care of. It's up to you photographers to remind us what we once were. Thanks, Gerald.

I always prefer old to new when it comes to architecture. Are those garages to the left?
Interesting information you left on my post about portaloos!
