Under the Railway at Godley Hill

This archway lies halfway down Station Road, Godley.

To the right the road leads to the old Godley Junction station.

To the left the road leads down to the Godley Arches and the new station.

Through the single arch, the road ahead leads to the hamlet of Godley Hill on one side and the Kerry Foods factory on the other.

Go to Hyde DP Xtra for a view of a train crossing the top of the arch.

Nice looking bridge Gerald.

There's always something a little mysterious and ceremonial about any arch way.

I like the bridge. Was there area involved during WWII? I've probably seen one too many war movies, I can just picture troops around here!

Somehow shrinking life to its real, important size, in order to pass through.

A wonderful Tuesday for you.

I like the way the tunnel under the bridge gives a very great depth to the photo.
