Shadow Shot Sunday:
Clarendon Mall Entrance

This is the third of three "puddle" shots taken last Saturday week with my camera phone.

The first was L is for Legs.

The second was Fag ends in the Sky.

This was taken when I turned round after taking the first and looked at the sun shining straight down into a spread out puddle outside the entrance to Clarendon Mall. I moved slightly to the side so that the sun was mostly hidden behind one of the beams. When it was no longer flooding out the shot, I pressed the shutter.

As a result we end up with dark shadows of the beams as well as reflections.

For more shadow shots visit Hey Harriet.

The shadows and reflections have a great style. My imagination says that the window pane is an arrowhead on the the bow that looks like an an arrow to be fired at a target. Neat capture!

That is a very interesting and deceptively simple shot. There is lots to look at in there. I like your description of how you took it. Fag ends in the sky is great too! I noticed a fag end in one of my photos for SSS that I hadn't seen until I posted it.

Very clever shot - and how did you resist the temptation to jump in the puddle?
