About five or six years ago Beijing Herbs opened a shop in Clarendon Mall.
A few years later it became part of the Dr & Herbs chain.
Since some months ago it appears to have ceased trading, but strangely the doors haven't been shuttered as usually happens when firms move out of one of the units.
According to this annoucement [dead link deleted]
The ownership has transferred from Dr&HERBS Ltd (in Liquidation) to YAWYE Ltd effective as of 26th February 2010 (YAWYE stands for You Are What You Eat).I've not been able to garner any further information about what is happening here.

Too bad about the herb shop's failure, but the new one certainly sounds interesting. Good luck to them, these are difficult times to start a business.
There are lots of stores that, sadly, have closed. I don't understand not shuttering up the store front, however.
I've neglected to congratulate you on your 4-year-anniversary! Hope that you continue to enjoy us because we certainly enjoy you and your posts.
Great shot. Certainly it is a place that I could visit and buy something.

Many stores like that here too. I'm surprised it is not boarded up.

Perhaps they should have been selling a certain "herb" that is the backbone of the notorious underground economy of Mendocino County, California...
