A New View Revealed
As can be seen on Hyde DP Xtra, JCBs are busy clearing the remains of what was once Hyde Mill 1906-2009.
I zoomed in on the machines and took a closer view. It wasn't until I downloaded the photograph that I discovered a view of a landmark previously hidden behind the mill.
Demolition has opened up a new vista all the way to Hartshead Pike.

Wasn't that a nice surprise !
I 'spect workers on the side of that mill knew it was within view.
Shame the old mill has gone the way of the Victorian factories, I love the smell of those old wooden plank floors.
Out with the old, in with the new and a view too! Good capture!
Gosh - an unusual view of a very familiar landmark!
The machines are such a big contrast to the surrounding beauty.
One can only hope that the growing replacement will be worth.
Over here most of the factories are left as they were, not rarely for decades, providing however a nice SkywatchFriday picture.
A wonderful Friday for you all.
Those machines certainly add great colour with the blue sky.
Cheers.

Sad end to the Mill
Sometimes change can be good!
