February Fields
These fields are on the boundary of Gee Cross, Tameside and Woodley, Stockport.
In the background is the Western slope of Werneth Low leading to Back o' th' Hill.
I'm not sure if that is hard frost or light snow up top.

A good F post and looks like the sky is clear.
On behalf of the ABC Wed. team, thanks for playing this week.
I can almost feel my heels sinking into the ground as I visually walk along the path. Nice shot and I like the green and blue.
Lovely post/photo for the day! I, too, love the colors -- blue skies these days and green field are of short supply! Have a great week!

I really like this...I recommend enlarging it to everyone.
I agree with Rose, enlarging is worth the time. I like the mud! And the pock marks in the grass that say cows have been there. And the hedge.
Nice shot!
Thank you for reminding me of home.
Please have you all a wonderful Wednesday.
Wow Gerald! This reminded me of Gerard Butler's Movie, 'PS I Love You' where Gerry and Holly First met on the Irish Fields as beautiful as this one :D
Steven^^
Hey, i picked February, too. Has a familiar look, though I've never been there...
Ah, looks like a place memories are made.
You can sense the coming of spring.
Nice to see clear skies and some green showing. A little mud never hurt anyone.
Just think, in a few short months, the mud will dry and the fields will be just right for frolicking...
Just exactly what is frolicking anyway? How does one do it?
I don't know, but this is a Fine F post!
No flowers yet, Gerald? My mum in Cheshire says everything is late this year.
So nice to see the fields in green again!
Great shot!
Léia :)
Gerald: That is a really cool wall.
That's just what our own February fields look like. Mud underfoot, bare branches in the hedgerow .. hard to imagine them in the summer at this time of year, isn't it? But it won't be long before the hedges bud and bloom and grow leaves and before long the air is full of buzzing and chirping and it's grass up to your knees! :)
They are green -- and look sort of like ours here...even the mud with the recent rain. The big difference is that ours will be brown in a month or so.
I like the angle of the shot too.
