Waiting
I spotted these two ladies whilst I was waiting on the opposite platform for a train to Rose Hill.
They had missed the train for Manchester Piccadilly and there wasn't another due for 50 minutes as the timetable they are perusing would have informed them.
They would have been better off taking the steps to Manchester Road and getting a bus.

What a nice chance to 'stop' time and return to the ability to be, even without speeding from one place to another.
A wonderful start of the month, week alike for you.
ahh, nice post of waiting as we all know how anxious we get waiting for a train or bus after we just missed the one we should have taken.
Bus stops would seem to be a good place for two people to strike up a conversation although perhaps they were travelling together. Nice choice for theme day, Gerald.
Very typical scene, have been there too - so to speak. Its a good tactic to find interesting ways around public transport timetables! No need to visit my site - I didn't think of theme day in time!
In Bollywood, we have number of movies revolving around a hero and his love interest missing the train. :-)
Happy December!

Gerald, more or less we published quite same photo and *yes* you centered the point: I took my photo last year but there were no "serious" reasons to publish it... Until today :-))
Cool interpretation for this theme!

I would much rather walk than wait!
I'm glad they waited long enough for you to get their picture! Nice Theme Day post.
Well, I can think of worse places to play the WAITING game. Doesn't look like it bothers them; looks like a nice day!
everyone expects today
I think we've all been left waiting for a train. Great post.
Looks like they were practicing their "balance beam" routines while they waited!
Waiting at transport stops can be lenghty at times. Those ladies must have had very tired legs - there is no seat in sight. All councils should provide seating.
