Hounds Behind The Snow

The snow kept falling in batches yesterday.

Just after lunch it was briefly sunny. I looked out and could see the Hare and Hounds up on the Low. As I pointed my camera out of the window and zoomed towards it, the snow started falling again.

I've had to enhance the photo a good bit to bring out the details but I've not reduced the colour at all.

Compare the view with the one I took of the first frost.

About an hour and a half later the snow had settled and I took a follow-up photograph which you can see on Hyde DP Xtra.

It's fascinating to see the same view looking so different in the various lighting conditions.

Cool photo. Love the wintry scene.

This looks like an impressionist's painting.

I find 'snow' photos amazing - from a "wide brown land" without any it's a very interesting prospect. We complain when the temperature drops below 15ºC!
Cheers.

Great photo. I could almost hear the hounds and see no hide or hare of anyone :)
I've esp. enjoyed the tour thru the seasons - thx for taking the trouble to do the links. I bet H&H is a nice warm place to grab some good pub food.
Why is it that Werneth Low really means High? - another fascinating oddity of the English language.
