Under the M67 near Morrisons

My post of August 16th 2007 showed the entrance to the tunnel or underpass below the M67 leading from Commercial Street near Godfrey Mill into Morrison's car park.

Earlier this year I walked through it and this is the view from the other side.

For a different rendition of this photograph see my Sithenah photoblog.

Hello Gerald,
Beautiful perspective in this shot and I think your b & w version fit perfectly with the subject!
Kind regards
Léia

( Great that we can see "light" at the end! )

I guess there really is a light at the end of the tunnel. Very nice.

I like the b&w also...it is not an attractive place to walk through - especially, I would guess, at night.

It's good, as Leia and James noted, there is a light at the end of this particular tunnel.

Excellent photos.

That's a nice shot, but I'm afraid I would be too claustrophobic to walk through that tunnel!

I think you will understand me when I say this is something I don't miss from the mainland. Gritty urban image

This is a very beautiful shot of what I know is an ugly subject...I remember those kinds of underpasses well from my time in the UK. You have made it look quite atmospheric!

Would stay away myself. Nice of you to portray it so well...

Great image! It has a spooky air to it!

I had trouble leaving a comment on your ABC posting, so I'll just say here that this is a very unusual shot. I don't think I would like to spend much time in a place like this, though:) On behalf of the ABC team, thanks for sharing this week!

You have got a really fine depth to this picture - one is literally drawn into it.

Can't resist: I see "a light at the end of the tunnel."
