Old & New on Greenfield Street

The top story of the old Hyde Equitable Co-operative Store is much the same as it has always been, but the Wilkinson store that now occupies the building has a new display along the ground floor.

New too are the trees in their containers - there are similar trees on the opposite side by the Town Hall.

How different it was three years ago when the store belonged to KwikSave and there were temporary bus-stops during the re-construction of Hyde Bus Station.

It looks a kind of mall and for sure I'm interesting on it! ;-)

Hi Gerald... I still have and use toels which were bought from the co-op over 21 years ago... and they are still fluffy and great at drying. The trees are a nice touch I must say.

I like those decorated trees.

Those pictures in the windows look like the faces of theatre. What else is happening in the refurbishment
