The Grapes 2009
The last time I showed you the Grapes Hotel in July 2008 it was covered in scaffolding.
See how it looked in 2007, back in 2003 or way back around 1910.
Now that it has a new restaurant attatched it appears to have dropped "Hotel" from its name and become simply "The Grapes".

I really like the looks of it--no matter which year. Well, maybe not the earliest version you show. But they are all nice.
I also really like the looks of this hotel! Have you been inside? Could you show us some interior photos?
Seeing the hotel in various stages of its life makes the current photo even more interesting.
I really like the structure of this building. It's very welcoming.
She looking really attractive now. It is always so nice when renovations are complete and the streetscape goes back to normal. Let us know how you like the restaurant and what their specialties might be.

Thanks 4 droping by.What is the rating star for this grape hotel.nice view.
it looks prett.
That must be nice place to visit. Stark difference compared to the old days.
Exactly the same happened at a local pub here. The Grapes at Scaling Dam!
I had my Wedding Reception here (upper level) in 1973.
It is now very popular, the landlord as spent a great deal on this... I don't know how the older locals will cope with the changes. I also hope the the Bowling Green at the back is still in use.
I was in fact barred from this pub at one time.. but that is another story.. neat posting Gerald
I don't know if it would be polemic but in reality I prefer the way that it was in 2007!
Great post!Very interesting indeed!

It's a beautiful building!
Nicely done! Both the photo and the restoration.
I like these wooden details:)
Hello Gerald,
I've also started my daily photoblog fro Helsinki and joined CDP.
This building is gorgeous and so English. This is part of the reason to miss my years in England and then the green rolling hills and the cliffs by the ocean too of course.
