Rosemount
Rosemount, aka Trinity Methodist Church, lies at the junction of Bennett Street and Old Road.
It was built in 1885 and is part of the Hyde & Denton Methodist Circuit.

I love this building, especiall the top.
imposing
It's a very dignified looking building. I like how they kept the old, cracked '1885' sign.
this reminds me of the church at my school, St Thomas... it is also a beautiful red brick structure.
Great picture of a fantastic building Gerald. I think the Methodists made it a point to avoid a lot of ornamentation and other do-dads on their churches while trying to convey a sense of reference and gravitas. I think they did a good job on this one!
Another lovely old building.
This is what I call a 'sturdy building'. Very nice.
Dan's observation of course is quie right. Reminds me of many schools in the midlands strangely.
It's interesting to see a church right on the street like that. Churches in my part of the world usually have big, green lawns....of course, they weren't built in 1885, though.
Having been christend at Rosemount the old now long demolished chapel which was on the righthand side of what was Rosemount Sunday School now the chapel. I have during my childhood appeared in several pantomines at Rosemount during the sixties. My eldest sister was also Rose Queen at Rosemount.
I was christend at Rosemount chapel which was situated on the right hand side of the present church now demolished .
