Barmhouse Lane is a narrowish, steepish lane leading off the A57.
It is shared by both heavy wagons heading for the 
Water Treatment Works at 
Godley Reservoir and horse riders making their way to the 
Godley Bridleway.
Hence the need for a warning sign.

Bet some residents in that area have some very good rose bushes if they go along the lane scooping up the calling cards of the horses. Locally here they are known as "bubo flakes".
We sure see none of those signs here. :-) Horses are not allowed on the island.
