Newton St Marys North

A couple of weeks ago I showed a picture of St Mary's church in Newton.

That was a view from the West; this is from the North.

I like the Godley Bridleway best. I can picture all these saintly types clip-clopping purposefully off 'somewhere'. Where?

so grey, so gothic

in my guess what, coal is correct - it's mainly used for the barbecue. even though it's winter, coal is often sold at this time of year because it is before winter, when it is too damp for coal production

I'm curious as to the age, because gothic it's not, or shouldn't be anyway.Churches are wonderful photography subjects.

Beautiful old church and I enjoyed the other view. What a history these places have.
