Kissing Gate to Rye Field
A footpath runs from Four Lane Ends at the top of Higham Lane down to Lower Higham Visitor Centre in Werneth Low Country Park.
About half way along is a kissing gate which gives access to Rye Field.

Kissing gate? That sounds wonderful. Great photo of your local countryside.
Now I want to know what a "kissing gate" is ...I shall have to do some internet research! A beautiful photo!
This is a funny name..."kissing gate" , and this is a nice photo, I remember your blog was in my friend list, I must have missed your address when I rearranged my layout..haha
i would fit right in at the kissing gate. i like the shadows and greens here.
maybe a kissing gate is where people said goodbye
I have never heard of the phrase 'kissing gate' until your post. Now, I know what that is.
I've heard of kissing gates but not seen one. Is Edward right?
Hey, a kissing gate! Now that's romantic!
Gorgeous shot. I love it.
Beautiful shot, but that green wall is making my allergies kick in just looking at it! ;-)
very romantic...
very well composed.
That is a lovely picture Gerald - quintessentially English!
BTW I recommend doing a Google search on Andy Goldsworthy and looking at the images. I think his stuff is wonderful, he uses lots of natural materials like slate, wood, ice, leaves, twigs, stone, etc etc.
I love this view! Love the gate and stone wall.
A very nice shot! I would love to see it in black and white!
