Hollingworth Post Office

Next to Hollingworth Village Stores on Market Street is Hollingworth Post Office.

Unlike nearby Tintwistle Post Office, it isn't threatened with closure.

My cousin goes round the country taking photos of post offices.
Let's hope this one survives the Mandelson threat.

Interesting that you have closure problems there too. Most of our small towns lost their post offices and depend now on rural mail carriers to deliver their mail.

Today (October 25th) in my birthday. I am 74 years old.

Lovely. Looks the sort of comfortable place you stop at for good service and a quick 'Hello'.

we love our small shops in my town, but villages don't grow in this way - we still need to get into the bigger areas for our shopping

now i'm writing haikus? i must do this more often!

Well we have so few we just can not afford for them to close.
