Ye Olde Village Fish & Chip Shop

This is Ye Olde Village Fish & Chip Shop on Back Lane, Mottram in Longdendale.

It was closed down when I took this photo some weeks ago. Hopefully it will re-open, probably under new management, at some time.

To visit more ABC-Wednesday Y posts go to Mrs. Nesbitt's Place.

I love fish and chips but haven't had them in years. Sorry this one closed on you.

Fish and chips? Tasty! I hope they open up again for you.

I've never had authentic fish and chips. I suspect what we have here in Alabama isn't even in the ballpark with yours. I have heard that they are great!

There is nothing tastier than British fish 'n chips! I took my Welsh visitors to "Trolls" a fish and chip place here and they thought it was okay.

The first words my children could say in English were "Fish and Chips", though they pronounced it the Dutch way. Lovely shop!

What an interesting looking place -- and by the look of that door it doesn't look like anybody was very tall in those days...

A closed chippy! Perish the thought.
Gary wll not have it that Paces other than Fleetwood can and do often have chippies of outstanding quality.

i worked in my mom and dads fish shop for a decade, i know what hard smelly work it is...

So sad ! Fish and Chips should alwys come from a proper chippy. "US" visitors please note that a "traditional English pub" offering "traditional English fish and chips" is lying on both counts !
