Hard Times Farm

Today we come out of town to the countryside and the North-West corner of Hyde.

We are standing on Hobson Moor looking across the fields at Hard Times Farm which lies on Dewsnap Lane.

In the valley beyond is Hollingworth and the River Etherow at Woolley Bridge forming the boundary between Hyde, Tameside, Great Manchester and Glossop, High Peak, Derbyshire.

i have to agree with rambling round - how greener can you get? such lush foliage is not a common sight at all here in Hania

Hard Times Farm. How on earth did it happen upon that name? quite a hilly area, not what I was expecting.

The name and the image look wintery all the same. We are in winter weather to the max -by our standards, at least it is sunny. Your list keeping from a-z is being very handy to find blogs in certain locations. (Dont worry about my posts I'm just marking time. Good luck with theme day )

This was the home of the Seaton family. Ned and his son John. Ned used to deliver milk to the village with a horse and cart into the 1950s
