This notice, attached to a lamppost outside the market, is advertising the (then) latest football fixture at Ewen Fields.
Hyde United FC play in the Nationwide Conference North League.
This match against Workington was back in April and a gate of 333 people saw them lose 1 - 2, although earlier in the season, away at Workington, they won 2 - 0.
The next home match is a pre-season friendly on Monday against Manchester City.

333, that is a big crowd, I bet you have nieghbours who go to Man Utd and pay big money to see them play but never go to see Hyde play.
I keep forgetting that
football in the rest of the world is what we call 'soccer'. I've read that UK fans take this game very seriously.
May the best team win! I like the new look of your blog. Have a great Sunday.
i don't suppose that's a taxi next to the sign, is it? black cabs look so regal - someone in Hania has invested in this shape of taxi cab; although it isn't very popular, i love it.
333! They could do with a few more supporters!
Glad you enjoyed the nun nonsense :)
Very seriously and it is and can only be football! They get a bigger crowd than Ramsey do anyway.
