Welcome to Hyde's 2nd Birthday
Welcome to the 2nd anniversary of Hyde Daily Photo.
This is the sign that greats you if you travelled into Hyde from Ashton under Lyne. A road on the right leads up to Hyde North station. On the left (out of sight) is the Village Hotel.
To hear about how Hyde DP came about please read the post I made on our first anniversary.
Five DPs celebrated their second anniversary last month: Kuala Lumpur on the 8th; Nottingham and Sharon on the 30th; Bangalore and San Diego on the 31st.
Eric in Paris celebrated 2 years on 11th March 2007 and has since passed the 3 year mark as have Tenerife [dead link removed] started in March 2004 and Port Vila which commenced in January 2005.
Other veteran blogs still going strong are: July 2005: St Kilda ~~ August 2005: Melbourne ~~ November 2005: London ~~ December 2005: Greenville ~~ January 2006: Aliso Viejo [dead link removed] ~~ Buenos Aires[dead link removed] ~~ Mexico City ~~ Rome [dead link removed] ~~ Trondheim [dead link removed] ~~ February 2006: Barcelona ~~ Brighton ~~ Newcastle-upon-Tyne ~~ Van Buren ~~ March 2006: Jakarta ~~ New York ~~ April 2006: Haninge.
My apologies to any blogs I may have missed off these lists.

Many congratulations, Gerald. It was fascinating to read on last year's entry how you started. Also nice of you to list all the golden oldies of CDP, as it were.
I personally would like to thank you for helping me in the early days and for your encouraging comments over the last year or so.
And now - onto your third year with glory! Well done for today. It's a great feat.
happy birthday! i do enjoy seeing your corner of the world.v
please excuse the lower case. . .
Happy Birthday Gerald.
Remember I found your blog in Barcelona (via Barcelona DP).
I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw Hyde there in the links.
Happy second Year! I hope to see many more! Thanks for doing all the blog lists...I know it must be a lot of work.
It's a pity that Tameside Council don't always know where the official boundaries are. The border between Hyde and Denton is the River Tame, yet they have put the sign welcoming people to Denton at least 20 feet inside the Hyde boundary.
Congratulations on reaching 2 years.
Nice pic and congrats Gerald.May your next 2 yrs go from strenth to strength too.
Congratulations Gerald on your 2 years.
Your posts always bring me back home, but I'll always think that Hyde is in Cheshire, which, postally, it still is!
Congratulations on your 2nd anniversary. Thanks for doing a great job adding new blogs to your list in Around the World. :)
