Clustrmap 2007

Our Clustrmap has just been archived so I've made a copy of the old one and posted it here for interest.

I've always been fascinated by maps and the distribution of dots is much more interesting than the actual numbers.

Now is perhaps a good time to remind everyone that the theme for January 1st will be "Photo of the Year". Instead of creating permalinks on the day, this month I intend listing the contributing blogs [those that sign up on the portal/forum before the last minute] in order of the date they started their blog.

In order to find Hyde's Photo of the Year, I've posted twelve contenders at Best of Hyde Daily Photo 2007.

You all have six votes which you may distribute as you feel fit. You can give all six votes to one picture; one vote each to six; three to one and three to another; two votes each to three pictures; or any combination provided the total votes you cast adds up to six.

Voting closes at midnight GMT on December 29th 2007.

I have the same problem with your 12 contenders as with my own photos - can't choose!
I'll think about it and be back...

Perhaps we should have competitions for the theme days as well.

Fun idea, I too enjoy maps of all types.

You had asked about my shopping carts photo. No, the carts are free of charge.

There are a number of cart corals in parking lots at each store where responsible shoppers are to return them. unfortuneatyl, a few shoppers do not. These wayward carts usually slam into vehicles when the wind catches them.

I can attest to this, my car has several dents in the door from these carts.

Wow, that is a lot of dots! I agree, it's more interesting to see where people come from than the numbers. It looks like Hyde has an audience all over the world :)

What is that dot half way between Papua New Guinea and Japan?
