Lines

The theme for City Daily Photo Blogs this month is Lines.

It is a wide theme and open to lots of interpretation. I could have shown you railway lines, double yellow lines, telephone lines, queues of various kinds or done some esoteric or artistic representation.

What I have chosen to show you is the electric cables and supports for the railway line passing under the cross-platform bridge at Broadbottom Station.

I've earlier posted a glimpse of the station and intend showing you more at a later date.

I like how you chose to show the details of these electrical things. Mine's related to railway too.

Great idea for the theme!

I didn't even see the electrical lines I was concentrating on the lines on the footbridge. A double dose for me then. I expect railways to feature heavy, but I also think this will be a good theme day.

It's all very linear!! I've been on self-imposed sabbatical, but have returned for theme day. Come visit!

Today's theme is tricky. I like the way you show your interpretation of "lines". Great idea.

Lines everywhere here. On the bridge too. Lovely old bridge.

"Faire des lignes" writing several lines, ten, fifty or more with the same sentence was a punition for child in the old days.
Nowadays it's a pleasure with your blog.

Isn't it amazing how when you start looking you see lines everywhere?
I remember a couple of month ago someone saying that lines were too much of a boring subject! Little did they know!

I love your shot, lines this way, lines that way. I didn't get my act together soon enough to participate this month.

The cross-hatch lines on the bridge are what got my attention. Then I saw the other lines on your shot. Very good theme day choice.

Thanks for visiting Phoenix Daily Photo and for the tip on the link problem I'm having. I did edit that link and fix it. I saw there was an additional quote mark, but what I can't understand is that the address was "blogger.com" and not what I had originally typed. I can't figure out why that "blogger.com" keeps getting inserted.

Yes - lots for the price of one! I guess you can't avoid seeing lines wherever you look.

Thanks for your comment - come back tomorrow to see if you won! :)

At first I thought it was a fabulous achievement getting those lines in frame parallel with the trees.

They're "lined" up!

Then I woke up to myself and realised that all trees planted beside railway lines are going to be parallel!

Full marks for the composition!

I like this idea of theme day and didn't find out about it till it was too late - but coincidentally my post has lines on it! Like the way you have lots of lines on yours!

I came this close to shooting a rail line, but I figured many people would do that. I like your angle on rail lines; it's both local and creative. Kudos!
