Spring Flower Show

Last Saturday when we went for our tea and toast at the Methodist Church, we found these flowers decorating the wall.

They were there as part of the Spring Show hosted by Denton Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society and Haughton Green Gardening Society being held that afternoon.

"Call in" is a phrasing that doesn't come to me anymore, after having lived for many years in the US. It is interesting to note these differences in the usage of languages -- I've become more sensitive to it since I've started to learn German in the German speaking part of Switzerland, where the Swiss-German dialect is the flavor (or collection of, more appropriately) that is more comfortably used on a daily basis.

How inviting! I would love a cup of coffee and some buttered toasts please.

I miss continental breakfast, ie. non-American breakfast, because of the delicious jams and buttered toasts. I think that is what I'm going to have tomorrow for breakfast.

Love to see Spring flowers. Love the way they are displayed on this lovely wall.

And thanks so much Gerald for solving the car question on Menton. I thought an Englishman might be the key to this. J

Flowers are great. The world wouldn't look the same without them.
