Ice-Cream Van
It has been quite cold recently, but on Saturday afternoon I spotted this ice-cream van doing the rounds. It is the first time I've seen or heard one on the streets this year. Summer must definitely be coming.
A view of this van in context can be seen on Spring Haiku 2007

Brings back some nice memories of our "Good Humor" ice cream van...
Delicious colors on the truck. How could anyone let that pass by without seeing what is inside?
Strange colours for an ice cream van. They are usually white with Disney characters painted on.
Mine's a choc ice by the way!
I liked your photograph because it was a reminder of what we have to look forward to. The street we live on was once a street filled with families of small children. Now, they are all gone. Our five children are gone and the oldest is 50. So the streets have no children playing. Yet the ice cream truck comes around once each week, playing a message and song, and nobody stops it to buy any ice cream. Sad.

OOoh lovely memories! I'll have either a Mivvi or a chocolate sundae please. No, no! I'll have a 99... yum!
Surely at this time of year it would be hot dogs. I can't eat icecream unless it's 30C. BBBRRRRRRH
Very bright colours for an ice-cream van,and it's very nice!I guess the colour is used to attract children.
I believe the ice-cream vans are a staple of many cities around the world.
Thanks for the two links.
I will have a 99er please
They dont have 99ers over here. just lots of flavours but I still like vanilla best
