Tameside Leisure Pool

Tameside Leisure Pool or Hyde Leisure Pool as it now seems to be called is on Walker Lane near the Globe Inn.

According to the Tameside MBC website
Tameside Leisure Pool is a water wonderland for all the family. The main Lagoon Pool has a gently shelving beach area, 80m water slide, wave machine, wild water channel, cannons, fountains and much more. The "Altered Images" Fitness Studio has hi-tech cardi-vascular and resistance training equipment and computer designed individual exercise programmes housed in a fully air-conditioned area. There's a Health Suite with sauna and steam rooms and the latest fast tanning equipment to enjoy, a poolside cafe and licensed bar. A floodlit stadium with an all weather synthetic pitch hosts a wide range of outdoor sports.

There is more information and even a video to be found on the Tameside Sports Trust website.

Sounds like you can spend all your Sunday there...Especially when it is icy cold outside...

I miss British swimming pools. Here they're only open to the public at lunch time or for a couple of hours in the evening.
