Zion Congregational Church

The original Zion Congregational Church on Peel Street was built in 1847.

It was a gaunt draughty building typical of the period. It was demolished a few years ago and in its place was built two houses, a new church and there was still space left over for a carpark.

A regretable sign of the times is the need for the main door to the church to have steel shutters.

so different church for me.
Since i learned the history of the culture exchange in this area in the 19 century or even 20 century, I heard lot of words about religions and also the Congregation and some other sects...they are all like the mysterious subjects for me to learn.
really very nice and exotic photo.
