I like the clock on Hyde Town Hall, mostly because I see it frequently and I find its familiarity friendly.
It may lack the elegance of the one on the courthouse in
Kuala Lumpur or the incomparability of the steam clock in
Vancouver but I love it just the same.

Wonderful shot Gerald! It has an elegance of it's own. Have you gone over to Cambridge DP? There's a clock tower there too!
Hmm, I wonder. Are we trying to capture time?
How beautiful! I wish we had something like this. :)
Ah yes, excellent. It's like a trusty friend - always watching over you. Solid and no nonsense - I like it.
I love this town hall. In 1960 I started work at Cable shoes across the market from the town hall. We were on the corner opposite Woolworth's and Brownson's.
Both my father & my grandfather were in the police and both worked at the town hall later in life!
