Hyde Chapel
With its tall steeple, many people seem to think this must be the main Anglican church in the area, but actually it is non-denominational. The first chapel on this site was erected in 1708; the present building dates from 1846.

That's a pretty photo! What is a "Unitarian Church" - I don't think I've ever heard of them...
A "Unitarian" church is a non-conformist church -- i.e. not part of the "Church of England" which is the "Established" church.

just discovered it - hello :)
will add you to the Brussels DP shorty! Welcome.
Welcome to the group. Looking at your pictures I see that there are a lot of interesting things to discover there at Hyde. I like the intense green color, the buildings and the great info. I will now add you to my links. Keep up the good work!
Hello and welcome from Akita, Japan. Vey nice looking town. Be coming back for more!
Gerald,
Great photo! It's such a beautiful church and countryside. I love this view. The market photo is a very good "slice of everyday life" photo.
Regards from Atlanta,
Mark
I've recently been informed that Hyde Chapel is NOT a Unitarian Church but an independent non-denominational Church affiliated to the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.
I would love to see more of this church...I like this picture though. I am just interested in it...maybe I will find another somewhere on here.
