March Theme: Glass
Glass is the CDPB theme this month so I'm showing again one of the stained glass panels at Hyde Bus Station.
The panels were created by Jo Ann Eisenberg with help from pupils of Dale Grove Primary School.
I first showed you this panel on 30th July 2006 and the second one on 7th Aug 2006.
In this picture you also get a glimpse of the Astoria Bingo Hall which closed down last week.

That's very nice. I find it interesting that such a piece would be in a bus station...
nice piece of art on glass & moreover good 2 see it on a bus stand
Little bit different to my bus station. Have to say I would not have guessed where this was.
Love it! I'm always intrigued by stained glass.
Very good stained glass photo ... I have very few stained glass photo opportunities as a result I am envious.
That is a beautiful piece of glass. Boy someone is very trusting to have it at a bus station. If that was around here it would be smashed to pieces from some misbehaved kids thinking it was fun.
It's lovely. I think we had the same idea for Theme Day!
Really nice, Gerald. I love community art projects.
I adore stained glass! I wouldn't have guessed that this beautiful piece of artwork belonged to a bus station.
Love your picture of the theme day.
I love stained glass and the richness of the colours with the light shining through. Great shot for theme day.
stained glass is always eye-catching
It's very nice and colorful.
Happy theme day :)
Beautiful ! Art in the street for everybobody!
How incredible to have such a colourful and interesting piece of stained glass at a bus station. Very nice.
It is such a nicely designed window. Your shot shows it off very well. Sad to learn the depicted Bingo hall is closed. It lives on here. Happy theme day, Gerald!

Good looking piece of stained glass.
It's lovely. I'm pleased to see contemporary stained glass - so often decorative features get subsumed in utilitarianism in places like bus stations.
What a fantastic bus station!
Very nice Gerald... good to see such 'public art'!
I love the stained glass.
I heard that many Bingo places are closing down because of the smoking ban.
Lovely and colorful! So nice when there is art in public places.
Very nice and colorful. Great choice for theme day!
truly beautiful capture of stained glass. very colrfrul
Surprised these haven't been vandalised by now.
Regarding your aborted balloon flight comment on Champion's Gate site. I'm surprised the organisers didn't offer you your money back as none of the flights could take place. Maybe you can still try to get a refund.
very nice!
Art noveau!Nice!
Nice example of some modern stained glass. Perfect for the theme.
I should have known children were involved because it's playful and whimsical. Love it!
Nice work on that glass panel Gerald.
Oh by the way - In my My World Post tomorrow is Horcum Hole.
That's a fancy bus station! Wonderful choice for theme day!
Glad you posted it again - the colors are marvelous. I like the covered bridge and Arron's Line details.
I love glass and when it is visual such as stained glass its even better . BIngo halls are closing everywhere I asume due to the downturn and online bingo its a great shame as they were a great place for socialising I used to supply a small one when I worked and it was the heart of the community for a lot of the old girls and I used to get chatted up evytime I delivered to them
Wow, that's great for a busstation, beautiful art.
This is lovely.....
I really like it and I especially love those sentences in it.
