When I was a youngster you couldn't move for sparrows but they seemed to disappear. There are a few around but nothing like the numbers there once were.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25658231.post-55195802945829714802008-05-31T10:10:00.000+01:002008-05-31T10:10:00.000+01:00Lovely shot, Gerald. You said, "rose bush" and I looked and saw some thorns and then I looked again at the size of the canes or limbs or whatever you call them and they are great big. I can't even begin to imagine how big this rose bush might be. I don't think I have, in my lifetime, ever seen a rose bush with wood that large. I posted a House Sparrow today also.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25658231.post-57846032398540817292008-05-31T08:48:00.000+01:002008-05-31T08:48:00.000+01:00Lovely! My camera doesn't have a good enough zoom so in order to get a picture like this I'd have to get quite close, in which case the bird would fly off before I could take the picture! Maybe I need to ask Santa for a more sophisticated camera - though I'm actually very happy with the teeny tiny point'n'press camera I have at the moment!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
